Three Dutch arrested after shooting, police chase in Marbella
Three Dutch nationals were arrested in Marbella, southern Spain, following a shooting and a brief police chase, the Spanish media outlets Europa Press and Marbella24horas reported.
The shooting happened at around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday on Ramón Gómez de la Serna Avenue, a street near a hotel and conference center and just a few streets away from the beach. One person was hurt in the shooting. They were reportedly shot in the leg.
The suspects fled by car, but a nearby police vehicle gave chase. The suspects’ car crashed, and they fled further on foot. The police chased them down and arrested them.
Diaro Sur reported that the arrested Dutch are between the ages of 25 and 30.
The motive for the shooting is unclear. The police are investigating.
