Teen arrested after Amsterdam Nieuw-West festival shooting; Man and woman injured

Police arrested a 19-year-old local man in Zwijndrech after a shooting incident at Amsterdam’s Parels van de Stad festival on Saturday evening, Het Parool reported. A man and a woman were injured.

Police said that they received reports of shots being fired at the Sportpark Riekerhaven in Amsterdam Nieuw-West some time before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A man and a woman reported having grazing gunshot wounds. The young man was then arrested on Sunday morning.

Parels van de Stad festival is being held this weekend at Sportpark Riekerhaven. It features several-stage performances of hip-hop, urban and house music.
