Five arrested after 2 stabbed in Eindhoven

Five suspects were arrested after two people were stabbed on Saturday night in Eindhoven, police reports. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots.

The violent incident took place on Remichweg in the ’t Hool neighborhood. One person was taken to the hospital.

Police reported on X that several suspects fled in a “few cars.” The spokesperson told NU.nl that the number of cars is not yet known.

Five suspects were then arrested on the A16 near Gilze-Rijen. This happened after police were able to quickly trace one possible getaway after its license plate was identified.

Witnesses told Omroep Brabant and Eindhovens Dagblad that they saw a weapon held to someone’s head. According to police, they have also received reports of firearms at the scene. Authorities have asked any witnesses to come forward.
