Driver killed after crash involving trailer of semi-truck near 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street

PHOENIX — Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a sedan and semi-truck in West Phoenix early Thursday morning.

Officials were first called to the scene near 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a crash. When they arrived, they located a sedan that was lodged underneath the trailer of a semi-truck.

Police say the driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
