Seattle police arrested on Friday three people, including an 11-year-old, in connection with a string of armed robberies within the metropolitan area, according to police.

The four robberies targeted businesses in the South and Southwest Seattle area, police said. Carrying firearms, the suspects entered the businesses and stole merchandise and cash. They then left in stolen vehicles.

The three arrested were 21-year-old and 19-year-old men and an 11-year-old boy.

Tukwila police located a stolen vehicle associated with the robberies in Seattle parked at a convenience store in the 5800 block of Southcenter Boulevard in Tukwila on Friday evening, a Facebook post states.

The people in the car drove away as officers approached the convenience store, and police pursued.

The pursuit spanned multiple jurisdictions and involved the King County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Patrol, according to the Seattle police blotter.

Eventually, the three suspects left the vehicle near Spring Street and Harvard Avenue, and police followed on foot while utilizing the King County sheriff’s helicopter unit.

The suspects were taken into custody.

The alleged armed robberies began Friday at 5:25 a.m. in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood, Seattle police said. The three people arrested are accused of then committing three other robberies in Rainier Valley, High Point and West Seattle.

Police said the robbers wore dark clothing and masks and flashed weapons at store employees. They sometimes demanded cash. There were no injuries reported.

The 21-year-old and 19-year-old were booked into King County Jail. The 11-year-old was booked into Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center for investigations of robbery.
