Mr Yilwatda was first appointed as national chairman in 2025 following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje.

The party, at its eighth National Convention held in Abuja on Friday, also returned all members of its National Working Committee (NWC).

Mr Arodiogbu emerged alongside other zonal executives during the APC South-east Congress held at the Presidential Hotel, Enugu, on Wednesday.
