Police in Amsterdam were investigating a shooting in a park that left two people dead on New Year's Day. Authorities have not said whether a suspect was taken into custody, nor if any individuals were being sought in connection with the violence.The two victims were killed on Brug 721, a bridge spanning Christoffel Plantijngracht in the Piet Wiedijkpark. The incident happened at about 11:45 p.m. as the first day of the year came to an end, police said on social media.
