An armed robbery in which a student was hurt at the student housing complex in Amsterdam-Oost earlier this month was no isolated incident, students who live in the building told Parool. Intruders are common, including two regular intruders who even have nicknames by now.

A resident of a student housing complex on Carolina MacGilavrylaan in Amsterdam-Oost was injured early Thursday during an invasion.The robber got into the apartment at about 3 a.m., the police reported. They said a struggle broke out, with the resident trying to force the suspect out.
