The command made the clarification in a statement issued on Monday by its spokesman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.

The police's reaction followed a viral video in which an unidentified man alleged that officers from the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit unlawfully arrest, and detain young Igbo people and consequently kill them without trial.
