New Delhi: An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted several parts of north India on the night of Friday, April 3, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS)

The tremors were reported from multiple locations, including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad, as well as parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and adjoining regions, triggering panic among residents who rushed out of homes and office buildings.

According to initial data, the quake occurred at 16:12:58 UTC, with its epicentre located at coordinates 36.52°N latitude and 71.01°E longitude, at a depth of 175 kilometres

Strong earthquake tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR and several parts of North India around 9:50 pm on Friday.
