A woman was killed and four other people were injured after a passenger vehicle collided with a sand truck in Kalaw on the night of May 7, according to the Kalaw Red Cross Society. The accident occurred at about 8:40 pm. on the Union Highway near Inn Pyin Village in Kalaw Township, southern Shan State. A Mini Bus passenger vehicle traveling toward Aungban had stopped to drop off passengers in front of Infantry Battalion No. 112 in Inn Pyin Village when a sand truck traveling in the same direction crashed into the rear of the vehicle, sources said.
