U.S. citizen Adam Michael Castillo, who was charged with violating restrictions and directives under the organizational rules of the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AmCham Myanmar), has been deported from Myanmar, according to reports. In accordance with the Myanmar government’s policy of maintaining friendly and cordial relations with countries around the world, Castillo was deported from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport on the evening of September 16, 2026.
