Three Men Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Sell Policeman as Fisherman
A police constable assigned to security duties at the Mon State Hluttaw was allegedly abducted and taken to be sold as a fisherman in Mon State, according to local reports. The incident occurred on the afternoon of 19 June when Constable Zaw Win Htun visited Naga Mauk Pagoda in Mawlamyine. While sitting alone at the pagoda, he was approached by three unidentified men who ordered him to accompany them. After he identified himself as a policeman and refused, one of the men, claiming to be a major, allegedly slapped him and forcibly took him away.
