President to consider pardons for peace, reconciliation and national development
The new government will consider granting amnesty to promote social justice, national reconciliation, peace, and the country’s development, President U Min Aung Hlaing said. He made the remarks in his inaugural address after taking the oath of office at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on April 10. “Our government will consider granting amnesty to support social justice, reconciliation, peace, and national development,” the President said.
