Two teenage boys drowned while swimming in the Thanlwin River near Bat Cave, close to Bar Kat village in Hpa-An Township, Kayin State, according to local rescue groups. The incident occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on April 11. The victims, aged 15 and 14, were residents of staff housing at the Myain Galay cement factory.
