President U Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar is working to ensure an adequate electricity supply under the current circumstances and is encouraging the domestic production, installation and use of battery-powered locomotives on selected railway routes. The President made the remarks during a visit to the Myanma Railways (MR) Diesel Locomotive Factory (Mahlwagon) under the Ministry of Transport on the morning of July 28, accompanied by the Yangon Region Chief Minister, the Commander of Yangon Command and other officials.
