Family members gathered outside Mandalay’s Obo Prison on Thursday morning (27 November) as more inmates were released under Penal Code Section 505(a). According to sources, a total of 265 prisoners from the Mandalay Region serving sentences under Section 505(a) are set to be freed. Starting around 8 am., relatives waited outside the prison to welcome the released inmates, creating emotional scenes as detainees reunited with their families.
