Myanmar’s southwest monsoon is expected to withdraw from the delta region between October 1 and 5, and from southern Myanmar between October 6 and 10, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH). A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal during the first 10 days of October and could strengthen into a depression. The monsoon is expected to remain weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, with moderate to cloudy conditions forecast over the Andaman Sea and southern Bay of Bengal.
