Strengthening low-pressure area over northwestern Bay of Bengal expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds
The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) has warned that a low-pressure area over the northwestern Bay of Bengal has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure system, increasing the likelihood of heavy rain, strong winds, and rough seas across parts of Myanmar. According to the DMH's 10:30 am observation on July 4, the system over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and the adjoining coasts of northern Odisha and West Bengal has strengthened significantly.
