New 66kV transmission lines and 11/0.4 transformers are being constructed to expand electricity distribution to townships across the Mandalay District, according to reports. Deputy Minister for Electric Power and Energy U Aye Kyaw met with officials at the Mandalay Electricity Supply Corporation headquarters on May 16 to discuss the current status of electricity distribution across the Mandalay Region.
