Electricity has been restored to parts of Natogyi Township in Myingyan District, Mandalay Region, more than a year after power lines and substations were damaged by instability and sabotage that began on August 10, 2024. Power infrastructure serving the township—including 230 kV and 132 kV transmission lines and local substations—was severely damaged, causing prolonged outages that affected eight urban wards and 188 villages, with nearly 28,000 electricity users impacted.
