As part of ongoing efforts to eradicate online scam operations, a total of 286 Chinese nationals detained at casinos and scam centers in the Myawaddy along the Myanmar–Thailand border were repatriated on the morning of January 22, according to sources. The detainees were transported via the Myanmar–Thailand Friendship Bridge No-2 to Mae Sot International Airport, coordinated by authorities from Myanmar and Thailand in cooperation with the relevant foreign embassies.
