The Ayeyawady (Yadanabon) Bridge, damaged by a powerful earthquake, has been repaired and cleared through load testing, allowing truck weight limits to increase from 25 to 45 tons. On April 25, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, along with regional officials, inspected the completed reinforcement works and ongoing reconstruction of staff housing damaged by the quake in Mandalay and Sagaing.
