A court here on Thursday sentenced two persons to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of a fisherman near Tiruchendur in 2017. In November 2017, the victim, D. Antony Soosairaj, 50, from Adaikalalapuram in Tiruchendur, was standing in front of a petty shop near St. Antony’s Church in the area. J. Antony Livingston, 32, and S. Antro alias Antro Viyani, 38, from the same locality came there and allegedly mocked Soosairaj, leading to a quarrel between them.
