WASHINGTON >> The U.S. Supreme Court announced Friday that it would hear a challenge to the constitutionality of a popular law enforcement tool that gives officers broad access to location data drawn from electronic devices near crime scenes.

The Supreme Court has agreed to decide the constitutionality of broad search warrants that collect the location history of cellphone users to find people near crime scenes.
