Bangladesh High Commissioner Riaz Hamidullah said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman skipped the BRICS Summit in India because of "certain context and circumstances". He did not elaborate on those factors, while rejecting the suggestion that Dhaka's BIMSTEC chairmanship alone drove the decision.
