A father has filed a police complaint alleging that his Class 7 son was assaulted by the founder-secretary, principal and teachers at a Bengaluru school. The complaint seeks action under child protection, education and criminal laws, and also cites the boy's alleged harassment and subsequent suicide attempt.

A 13-year-old class 7 student allegedly attempted to end his life after being made to stand outside his classroom for an entire school day over a minor act of mischief at a private school in west Bengaluru.
