TVK will join protests across Tamil Nadu on October 13–15 as VCK chief Thirumavalavan demands EC chief Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation.

The CWC said the developments had reinforced Rahul Gandhi’s earlier allegations of “Vote Chori”, citing concerns over the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, EVMs, changes to electoral rolls and the process for appointing the CEC.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge called Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar a "puppet" of the Modi government at a Congress Working Committee meeting. Kharge listed out five demands, including Kumar's resignation, saying he had "no right to remain in office".
