Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The USS George Washington reached the Arabian Sea in the U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility, following reports of poor conditions for sailors aboard the USS Lincoln.

The USS George Washington is moving towards the Middle East as the Navy prepares to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln. The shift highlights mounting concern over shortages, morale and the strain of an extended deployment during the Iran conflict.
