The United States deported Nazira Haji Zada to Afghanistan after she admitted supporting her family's ISIS-inspired Election Day attack plot. The case was the first to be heard by the Alien Terrorist Removal Court, a 1996 tribunal never previously used.

The Department of Justice said that Nazira Haji Zada, who came to the United States in 2018, "conceded that she is an alien terrorist and waived appeal of the removal order."

Nazira Haji Zada admitted she was an "alien terrorist" in the first-ever use of a specialized federal court created 30 years ago by Congress after an ISIS Election Day plot.
