Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani is currently serving as the Military Adviser at the National Security Council Secretariat, a position he has held since September 1, 2025.

Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani will replace General Anil Chauhan, who will be completing his tenure as CDS on May 30 this year. In another major military appointment, Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan has been appointed as the next Chief of the Indian Navy.
