Authoor police have booked DMK MLA Anitha Radhakrishnan over remarks about Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at a June 20 welfare event. The complaint followed criticism of his comments on Vijay's appearance, political shift and conduct in the Assembly.

The DMK has condemned the police action, accusing the TVK government of attempting to suppress the voices of its critics.
