Novaya Gazeta will publish its final edition and shut down on November 9. The closure ends more than three decades of independent reporting amid state pressure.

Founded in 1993 after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Novaya Gazeta was one of Russia's most reputable and renowned organisations reporting and documenting human rights abuses.
