According to investigators, Gulafshan had allegedly been blackmailing Sonu by threatening to circulate an explicit video of his wife. The video was reportedly recorded earlier by Gulafshan’s husband, Monu, who himself was said to be in a relationship with Sonu’s wife. This tangled web of relationships eventually led to the murder.
