Parliamentary panel defers adoption of report on 130th Amendment Bill aimed at removing detained PMs and CMs for further discussions.

A Joint Parliamentary Committee has finalised its report on the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill on removing top executive office-bearers after 30 days in custody for serious offences. The panel has proposed temporary removal with scope for reinstatement, while keeping MPs and MLAs' membership unaffected.
