The Department of Health counted a total of 235 firework-related injuries as of New Year’s Day, but the number is expected to go up with late reports coming in from hospitals.

Fireworks-related injuries hit 140 – DOH
A day before New Year’s Eve, the Department of Health has recorded a total of 140 cases of fireworks-related injuries, with a majority of the victims males aged five to 14 years.
