PREMIUM TIMES reported that disqualified APC aspirants for the state assembly claimed that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom handpicked the party candidates for the assembly elections.

“The party is not compelled to reveal answers on what disqualified them,” the APC spokesperson in Akwa Ibom said.
