The United States, Denmark and Greenland have signed a security agreement aimed at ending months of tension over the Danish self-governing territory after US President Donald Trump's ⁠repeated threats to take control of the vast Arctic island.

The United States, Denmark and Greenland on Tuesday signed a security agreement expanding US involvement in Greenland’s defence while affirming Danish sovereignty over the Arctic territory. 

Denmark, Greenland and the US are to sign a deal on Greenland's security tomorrow, an agreement Denmark says will put Arctic ⁠security under NATO's watch.
