On the morning of 5 July, 39-year-old Mark Cullen was shot in an incident which occurred in Patrician Park, Kill Avenue in south Co Dublin.

Gardaí said the man is currently detained at a garda station in Dublin.

One of the women is being treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening, while the second woman is undergoing further medical assessment.
