Two women riding a scooter to work were killed in a road accident that occurred on Obadenahalli Road in the Bashettihalli Industrial Area of Doddaballapur taluk on Monday. In a moving gesture, the families of both deceased women donated their eyes to the eye bank at Dr. Rajkumar Eye Bank.

A road accident near Kombuthi Road Junction near here on Saturday claimed the lives of three of a family, including a young couple. The victims have been identified as Ladasamy, 60, of Puliyampatti, his daughter Panchavarnam, 25, and her husband Pullani, 30. The couple were residing in Devipattinam.
