Shantigagi Nagarikara Vedike, a citizens’ initiative for peace, has appealed to the State government to provide appropriate legal assistance to the six Maoists who surrendered and entered the mainstream recently.

The six surrendered Maoists will be formally arrested and produced before the court in Chikkamagaluru on Thursday. The State police will seek their custody and the legal process will follow.
