GBA launches 'Safe Footpath' campaign to clear encroachments and enhance pedestrian safety across Bengaluru's road network.

The five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) will launch a citywide ‘Safe Footpath Campaign’ from July 1 to clear encroachments and improve pedestrian infrastructure across the city, Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said. The government has also allocated ₹70 crore for the repair and improvement of nearly 2,000 km of footpaths within GBA limits.
