From The Hindu Archives, July 16, 1926: In pursuance of the Lee Recommendations, the Government of India with the approval of the Secretary of State, have framed a scheme for the recruitment and the training of officers for the three main departments of railways:—(1) Transportation (Traffic) and commercial, (2) Civil Engineering and (3) Mechanical Engineering and transportation (power).
