From The Hindu Archives, June 12, 1976: Concerned at the growing murder and dacoity menace on the railways, the Union Railway Minister has held discussions with the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh recently. Following these discussions, the three Chief Ministers have assured the Railway Minister that they would take steps to ensure close co-operation in fighting the menace.
