Two Springville police officers were legally justified in using deadly force against a man who stabbed one of the officers while they were investigating a domestic violence call.

A documented gang member with a violent history was shot and killed a year ago following an hourslong standoff. Investigators say police fired 81 rounds. Police have now been cleared in the death.
