Suspect arrested at Assen train station after he said he had placed a bomb on train
No trains ran for several hours overnight Friday into Saturday after a person said he had placed a bomb on the train, police reported. He was arrested at the Assen train station.“A passenger on a train said a bomb had been placed,” a spokesperson for the Noord-Nederland police unit said. The suspect said he has planted the explosive himself.Police indentified the suspect as a 24-year-old man with no fixed address. He is now in custody and is being questioned.An explosives specialist searched the train. The station and nearby area were cordoned off.
Amsterdam Centraal stabbing suspect identified after four injured
The suspect in the Saturday evening's stabbing at Amsterdam Centraal has been identified as a 43-year-old man from Naarden. Four people, including the suspect, were stabbed at around 19:30 p.m. and taken to a hospital. The suspect was then arrested. Some passerby at De Ruijterkade, at the back of the station, witnessed the incident, NU.nl reported.

Emergency service responded at around 19:30 p.m. The suspect was also among the injured and was arrested by the police after first being taken to a hospital.One more victim was also taken to the hospital. The severity of the injuries is unknown, police told NU.nl. However, they are said to at least not be life-threatening.
