Amon F. was convicted on appeal Tuesday for his role in the murder of Dutch marechaussee Toon Brood. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.Brood was murdered on May 31, 2024, during a home invasion in Willemstad. Robbers broke into the family home. They ransacked the house and shot Brood while his wife and young children were present. Brood’s widow said the intruders acted violently despite the presence of the children.
