Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Eva Schloss, a Holocaust survivor and the stepsister of Anne Frank, died in Britain, the Anne Frank Trust announced. She was 96.

Freed from Auschwitz, she was silent about her ordeal for four decades. Then she decided to dedicate her life to educating people about the dangers of prejudice.

Ms. Schloss, who was sent to Auschwitz as a teenager, spoke in prisons and schools about her experiences and the dangers of prejudice.
