Shooter unleashes carnage at Brown University
PROVIDENCE, RI - A shooting at Brown University left at least two dead and nine injured on Saturday, (December 13th). Most were Brown University students. The school was on lockdown as the shooter was not in custody. Providence police have released limited information about the suspected shooter – only that he is male, was wearing all black or dark clothing, and may be in his 30's. Police released a video of the suspected shooter, which shows him walking down Hope Street after the shooting. The university's Department of Public Safety sent a campus-wide alert at 4:22 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, urging students and staff to run, hide and fight (as a last resort) due to the presence of an "active shooter." It is unknown how the shooter entered the Barus and Holley Engineering Building at 184 Hope Street, but he exited onto the Hope Street side, the Providence Journal reported. Many officials have offered their condolences, including President Trump.
