President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday for his criminal conviction stemming from hush money paid to a porn star, a case that for a time overshadowed his bid to retake the White House.

Trump has asked the Supreme Court to call off Friday’s sentencing in the hush money case. His lawyers turned to the nation’s highest court on Wednesday after New York courts refused to postpone the sentencing by Judge Juan M. Merchan.

Says instead of incarceration, leaning towards an unconditional discharge.
